History: Katherine lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She tends to her Soapmaker job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She is a ruthless business woman, a trait she acquired from her mother.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.
