History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and someone believes him a fraud

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying brother.
