History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. In her 15th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Heather alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Aline was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. She was an apprentice working in her father's forge. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.
