Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He disdains his fellow southerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Nicholas grew up listening to his mother's many stories. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Her white hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. She is missing an eye and her face is severely sunburned. Her one remaining eye shines gray.

Personality: She is curt in most of her responses. She prefers to keep her word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. She cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: Emma was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. She became a Butcher soon after.

Description: A well shaped man just over fifty, he is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers his face most of the time. His wide-brimmed hat is riddled with cuts and holes. He wears a mask on his face.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the north. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture.

Personality: She believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

Motivation: She desires power and/or immortality.
