History: He was born into a rich family. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Shane grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Shane. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: He was born into a rich family. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. She worked as a nervous Gardener and found it very stressful. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). Being a Cook kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac
