History: He comes from a rich southern family. His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Banker they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Carter, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

Personality: She dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the east. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the east; and she possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Susannah embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. She takes great joy in being the best Merchant in town.

History: Susannah was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Merchant hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She tends to her Merchant job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg
