Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.

History: Emma lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She used her abilities to travel the world and help people.

History: Born in the south to a Barber, Maynild learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. While she appears to be a normal Human, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: He was born in the east. He worked as a nervous Engraver and found it very stressful. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.
