When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Healer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the south; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

History: Born to a Mayor, his mother struggled to pay the bills. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Simon has worked very hard to control his curse. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever
