History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. When Ernest reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Ernest was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. In his 17th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her mother. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Fletcher.

Motivation: She's in love; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg
