Personality: She has schizophrenia that causes her to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. Her home and work are filled with various knick knacks she has acquired through the years. She cares a great deal for her adopted teenage daughter.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Joan was born the youngest of three triplets. She was taken from her home at a very young age. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

He has set out to sabotage the competition.
