History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Melissa was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He's also a talented Body Guard, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: Born in the north to a Merchant, Herleva learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She tends to her Merchant job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
