History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Apothecary hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: Born in the north to a Dyer, Kyle learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Personality: She hates dire rats. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. She is a great chef.

History: She was born in the north, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. Because her father participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her mother from journeying north to reunite her family. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: Meet up once more with her childhood friend; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
