Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Through the years after Kyle was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Kyle's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Personality: He goes out his way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one he won't accept into his heart. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Her parents enrolled her in a Paladin school at a young age so that she could practice her psionic talents. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Meet up once more with her childhood friend; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and she desires to right it
