History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Courier work with an outfit from a few towns over. Courier work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She now owns her own business.

History: Born in the north to a Mayor, Gerard learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
