History: Thomas was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He has achieved small success as a Unemployed.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Soapmaker hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He became a Soapmaker soon after.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Like her mother and her sister before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Soapmaker. After a long history of fighting, Isabella and her spouse have recently divorced.
