Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Locksmith they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Map Maker, and he later adopted a second son.

Description: A 4'10" western woman, she dresses like a well dressed Bather does. Her silver hair is long and unkept. She is baby faced.

Personality: Prone to second guessing herself, she comes off as nervous. She does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Melissa was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: To be a Scribe again; and further expansion of business

Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. The war was a terrible time for him, and Hunter does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the west.

Description: This man is moderately tanned and has just the faintest trace of an accent. He wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized tan coat. His brown hair is drawn into a tight pony tail with a butterfly scrunchie. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: He never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his father.

History: He was born in the west. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the west were limited. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and retire the richest man in the west
