History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Bernard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Through the years after Bernard was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Bernard's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Masseuse they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.
