Herbalist work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Herbalist for hire.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Adelard's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his father.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for him.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Guard born in the past three hundred years. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of gnolls may trigger it at times.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. At a young age his father died while driving off some gnolls. His mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in longsword use. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it

Personality: She is a Mayor first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. As long as the job gets done she does not care how it got done.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered writing. She has worked as a Mayor like her father before her.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Mayor responsibilities is difficult.
