History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her 17th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Millicent alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. A freak accident while working with her Soapmaker mother left her crippled. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.
