Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Manfred fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: Stoic and calm, she prefers to meditate than take action. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-brother.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. She inherited a moderately successful company from her father. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

History: He was born at the edge of vast forest. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

Personality: Her tongue was cut out and she uses sign language. She will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: Aline hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Shipwright hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it.
