History: Born in the west to a Knight, Roland learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

History: Heather was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance.
