History: Theodoric was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. His mother worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled mother and took his mother's old job. He has dedicated himself to building a better kind of golem.

In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Godfrey alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
