History: She comes from a rich southern family. In her 17th year, her parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Sarah alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: Many gnolls want her driven away.

History: Thomas was born with his father's beautiful face. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Doctor. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Description: He is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright black and grey, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. He carries with him a set of halberds, each one with a emerald on the hilt. He only wears one on his belt and the other on his back. His hair is cut close to his head. His face is scarred and worn.

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.
