History: Melissa was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to her family’s name. She found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Description: A well shaped woman just over fifty, she prefers to wear flannel. Her hair is short and blonde. Her eyes are violet and she is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: She will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken her opponents. Despite her formidable combat skills she remains a coward. More though she will beg to come along on any journeys. She will attempt to stowaway on any ship she can in the hopes that it will get her further away.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: To end her boredom; and to find somewhere to settle down
