When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Soapmaker hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the east; and she is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out

Personality: She is a Hunter first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Like her father and her sister before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Hunter. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it; and to be a tanner again

Personality: He is irritable and easily angered. He is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use his stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Bernard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: To pay off his debts; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it
