Description: The man speaks with an almost imperceptible accent. He seems to always be the slightest bit damp as if he got out from a pool a few moments ago. He prefers to wear fine silks, though has several suits of combat armor for his hunting needs. His long auburn hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. His green eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.
Personality: Charles is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He takes great joy in being the best Detective in town.
History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. When Charles reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He now owns his own business.
Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and balancing his hectic life and new detective responsibilities is difficult

Description: Relatively heavier built than your average woman, she is not imposing. She is typically in her Tanner uniform. Her chestnut hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. She tend to wears goggles to shield her eyes.
Personality: She believes there is no problem she cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. She is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in her opinion.
History: She was born in the east, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Tanner for hire.
Motivation: Expand her business; and balancing her hectic life and new tanner responsibilities is difficult

Description: Dark and lean, he is a relatively plain man. He likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather. His silver hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. His green unseeing eyes seem to look past you.
Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes brigands are coming to abduct people. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.
History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Anselm was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
Motivation: Many brigands want him driven away.

Description: A well shaped woman just over fifty, she wears pastel trousers with red and grey striped suspenders. She wears various colorful collared shirts. She sports a flattop hair cut. Her eyes, though not visible through her cowl, are brown.
Personality: Margery is a sociable creature first and foremost. She loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. She can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Margery is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.
History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
Motivation: Further expansion of business; and she is unsatisfied with her job
