History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. His parents were killed by orcs in a raid when he was still a young child. The orcs captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Aline was born the youngest of three triplets. Her mother worked until she suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. Personality: She is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. She plays an instrument quite well.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Agatha was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. She has never given up on her writing dream.
