Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, gnolls burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying east to reunite his family. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the east. Gerard was born on a far eastern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Dyer. After a long history of fighting, Gerard and his spouse have recently divorced.
