Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. The war was a terrible time for him, and Nicholas does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. After a long history of fighting, Nicholas and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Matilda was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Barkeep hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She has never given up on her poetry dream.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. She has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Spy they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Adventurer, and she later adopted a second son.

Motivation: Her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature hand crossbow.
