History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. After coming to the age of reason, Dean took it upon himself to study the martial arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her mother. In her 11th year, her parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Egelina alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.
