History: Elizabeth hails from a village terrorized by giants. In her 15th year, her parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Elizabeth alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: A deep hatred of giants; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and she desires to right it

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. She found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: She wants to meet her childhood hero; and she is greedy

History: He is a Doppelganger in disguise. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Navigator hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero.
