History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Conrad alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: To be a Bellfounder again; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. She tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.

Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
