Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the south. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his writing with anyone who is interested.

History: Gilbert hails from a village terrorized by giants. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Body Guard. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother.

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Herbalist born in the past three hundred years. She lacks moral complications. She does what she is told to by employers but not much else. She spends her money on whatever she fancies at the time.

History: Sybil was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She worked as a nervous Herbalist and found it very stressful. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Herbalist for hire.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and sabotage a competitor
