History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Norman was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Simon was raised in a hard working conservative environment. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Simon alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Simon was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the gnolls.

Personality: She is irascible and easily irritated. She has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. After months of barely getting by, Yvonne managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, she made her way to the capital under a new identity.

History: Ahlyssa was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. She now spends her time doing works of charity.
