History: Adelard lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

History: Born in the north to a Shepherd, Adelard learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
