Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: Born in the west to a Stableman, Everard learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Stableman hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
