History: He was born at the edge of vast plains. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: She is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. The war was a terrible time for her, and Aline does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She was born in the south. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her mother's willingness to do anything to win. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions.
