History: She was raised in a island tribe. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this southern gal figured out how to best use her charms to convince people to do what she wants. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Joan is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: A powerful brothel owner made her what she is. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She struck the Mortician job and began her own company from there.
