History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Elysande was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Elysande abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. During her travels, Elysande and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Elysande discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Elysande fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.
