He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. She has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has dedicated herself to building a better kind of golem.
