Personality: Anselm wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Paladin, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He will do just about anything if he becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this he is easily convinced.

History: Anselm lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes giants are coming to abduct people. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: When she was but 3 years old her parents immigrated from the east. Because her father participated in the massacre of their homeland, giants burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her mother from journeying east to reunite her family. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She wants revenge against giants; and many giants want her driven away

Personality: She is a woman who does what she needs to. She will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. More though she will beg to come along on any journeys. She will attempt to stowaway on any ship she can in the hopes that it will get her further away.

History: Katherine was born the youngest of three triplets. Through the years after Katherine was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Katherine's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Server and was forced into it by her family; and a rival would like her out of the picture

He has a penchant for wearing a ring with an oversized ruby on his right hand. He has done his best to style his black hair to look like a famous performer. He wears a mask on his face.

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of gnolls may trigger it at times.

History: He comes from a rich western family. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Balimaar was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the gnolls.

Motivation: A deep hatred of gnolls; and to be a bellfounder again
