History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He now mingles about in high society.

Personality: She does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: Born in the north to a Butcher, Jane learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: To be a Soapmaker again; and balancing her hectic life and new butcher responsibilities is difficult

Personality: A deeply religious woman she believes everything happens for a reason. When she's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, she's doing writing.

History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her father. She has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs
