History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. Roland liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: Born in the south to a Ploughman, Alex learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He's also a talented Guard, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
