History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. When Jocelyn reached his early adolescence his Human mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He disdains his fellow westerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Jocelyn's homeland. Jocelyn decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. After a long history of fighting, Jocelyn and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Matilda was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Shoemaker. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.
