History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Richard grew up listening to his father's many stories. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: She was raised in a plains tribe. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. Being a Carpenter kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
