History: Charles lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Personality: In the realm of puns, she cannot help herself. She feels obliged to make them. She is harsh and unforgiving.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her family was turned out during the war. She and her family wandered east to less war torn lands. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Motivation: She's repulsed by the PC; and she is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. His first spouse was a Guard, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and a deep hatred of brigands

Personality: She does not care much for physical appearances, nor does she care much for other people. She does however care about what she wants and getting it. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. She has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. She has never given up on her poetry dream.

Motivation: To be a Gardener again; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg
