He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). After a long history of fighting, Charles and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Born in the south her family was never financially stable. She found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has recently attracted an admirer that believes she's playing hard to get.

History: Melissa was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Her childhood dream was to be a Masseuse, but she was a colossal failure. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Gardener.
