Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother.

Personality: She is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before her hampering stammer kicks in. She has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Navigator hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Laborer.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Laborer responsibilities is difficult.
