History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her father's willingness to do anything to win. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. Personality: She has two modes she varies between. On the job she is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job she is a party animal. The war was a terrible time for her, and Oriel does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Oriel was raised in a hard working conservative environment. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the desert to a summer home near a large cave. She would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Oriel took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up shortbow and armor she uses now. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.
