History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Melissa grew up listening to her mother's many stories. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. She keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to her own.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Ahlyssa's homeland. Ahlyssa decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone.
